ABOUT US
The FUNATO University Health Service (UHS) has been the cornerstone of healthcare on campus for decades. We provide professional, accessible medical care to thousands of students and staff every year — from routine check-ups and lab tests to mental health support and emergency intervention.
Located at the heart of the university, our modern health centre is staffed by experienced doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals dedicated to your total wellbeing. Because a healthy campus is a thriving campus.

OUR CORE VALUES
Every patient is treated with empathy, dignity, and respect — no matter their condition or background.
Our qualified medical team upholds the highest standards of evidence-based practice and continuous improvement.
Built for the campus community, students, staff, and faculty — we understand university life and its health demands.

OUR SERVICES
From routine check-ups to emergency interventions, our qualified team covers all your health needs.

Our general consultation service provides comprehensive primary healthcare for students, staff, and visitors through one-on-one sessions with qualified medical doctors. We assess common illnesses such as malaria, infections, headaches, stomach issues, and fatigue, while also offering routine health checks, diagnosis, treatment plans, and referrals where necessary. This service is designed to help patients receive timely medical attention, professional guidance, and continuous care for everyday health concerns.

Our laboratory unit offers accurate and reliable diagnostic testing to support effective medical treatment and early disease detection. We provide a wide range of laboratory investigations including malaria parasite tests, typhoid screening, full blood count, blood sugar analysis, liver and kidney function tests, urinalysis, pregnancy testing, and other essential medical diagnostics.

Our emergency care unit is available 24/7 to provide urgent medical attention for accidents, injuries, sudden illness, and other critical health situations. We are equipped to handle emergencies such as severe pain, breathing difficulties, high fever, fainting, bleeding, and trauma cases with prompt response and immediate stabilization.

Our on-site pharmacy provides safe, convenient, and professional access to quality medications for all patients. We dispense prescribed drugs, over-the-counter medications, vitamins, and essential supplements while ensuring proper dosage instructions and medication guidance.

Our mental health service supports emotional wellness and psychological well-being through confidential counselling and professional mental health care. We assist students and staff facing stress, anxiety, depression, academic pressure, emotional burnout, and other personal challenges through guided sessions, coping strategies, and wellness support.

Our eye and dental care services are designed to support both visual health and oral wellness for the campus community. We provide routine eye checks, vision screening, basic eye care advice, dental consultations, oral examinations, tooth cleaning, and preventive dental care to help maintain healthy vision and strong oral hygiene.
